The first Italian book about the technical applications of aquatic plants, with the purpose of water purification
Published in Bologna in February 2014 by Ed. Il Campo (www.ilcampo.it), “Le piante che depurano l’acqua” (the plants that purify the water) describes the botany and the ecology of native and non-native aquatic plants and several hygrophytes that can be chosen in constructed wetlands (HF, VS, FWS) for wastewater treatments, phytoremediation and in the regenerating area of natural swimming pools. After descriptive chapters about the aquatic plants and their technical applications, the foundamental chapter is organized in 60 plant profiles, with many details about botanical, ecological and phenological data of the most common species.
