The territorial Research Area of the CNR in Rome opens the doors of its laboratories to secondary school students. It is thus intended to promote the dissemination of scientific culture in an engaging way, create new multidisciplinary connections between research and school, and encourage discussion on current scientific issues through direct experiences.
The meeting will stimulate students to be curious, critical and open to new ideas, and, in addition, foster a positive impact on society as a whole by encouraging greater participation and support for scientific research.
The meeting between high school students and researchers is thus an investment in future generations of scientists and professionals, a significant contribution toward the advancement of research and innovation.
The event is curated by the GDL Disclosure ARRM1, and all institutes in the research area are participating. IRET is participating in the initiative with current and intriguing focuses. They will talk about mosses and their air-purifying properties, how to measure plants, and then it will be possible to “listen” to the voice of bats and discover the world made of small animals that inhabit the soil and reveal its quality.
A rich program, designed to engage high school children and stimulate their curiosity, which you can download HERE.
