Combustion

foglie in combustione

The combustion laboratory studies the compounds emitted by burning plant biomass, analyzing the processes that influence emissions at different stages. It is equipped with a customized combustion chamber, designed to simulate and control process conditions, to which advanced sensors are connected for the characterization of gas, particulate and thermal parameters. This laboratory contributes to the understanding of environmental impacts following fires by deriving factors necessary for model development in forest ecosystems.
