Bernini Minister of University and Research to visit Iret in Porano

On Nov. 13, pv. the Minister of University and Research Sen. Anna Maria Bernini will visit the Porano headquarters of the National Research Council’s Institute for Research on Terrestrial Ecosystems (CNR-IRET). The minister will be welcomed at the historic Villa Paolina headquarters, where she will meet with Institute Director Carlo Calfapietra, staff and the press. Also present will be Maria Chiara Carrozza, President of the CNR, and Laura Pernazza, President of the Province of Terni The Porano branch of the Institute for Research on Terrestrial Ecosystems of the National Research Council (CNR-IRET) will welcome the Minister of Universities and Research Sen. Anna Maria Bernini, who will visit the historic Villa Paolina, owned by the Province of Terni, on Nov. 13. The Minister will meet with Carlo Calfapietra, Director of the Institute, to discuss, among other things, the important PNRR projects of the CNR-IRET and the renovation and revitalization project of the historic Villa Paolina headquarters.

The institutional greetings will also be joined by Maria Chiara Carrozza, President of the CNR, and Laura Pernazza, President of the Province of Terni.

The event represents an important opportunity to promote the most relevant activities of CNR-IRET, not only locally and territorially, but also internationally. In fact, the main projects involving staff in activities related to monitoring, climate change, biodiversity and its conservation will be exhibited. Specifically, the perspectives and challenges of the National Biodiversity Future Center, probably the largest project ever funded on biodiversity, coordinated by the CNR itself, will be presented, as well as the programs for monitoring and measuring environmental parameters related to climate change, such as the ambitious Itineris project, which connects all the Research Infrastructures in the environmental field, also coordinated by the CNR. The minister’s visit will conclude with a brief press point with journalists.
