Chromatography and Quality

The laboratory has extensive experience in studying plant physiology, the quality of agricultural and forestry products, and the characterization of plant materials used in biorefinery systems. The research activities take into account environmental growth conditions, cultivation techniques, biotic and abiotic stresses, and genetic factors. The research group has long been involved in projects focusing on cultivation in controlled environments (CEA: Controlled Environmental Agriculture), considered the agriculture of the future, and applied to non-conventional cultivation systems, particularly in bioregenerative life support systems (BLSS) for space exploration.
